Michael K. Bialys is more than an attorney—he is a lifelong storyteller and creator whose imagination knows no bounds.
Originally from Toronto, Michael first found his voice through music, composing original pieces including Going for Gold for the Winter Olympics and I Want It All, performed by the Canadian Opera Company alongside the Toronto Symphony Orchestra. His passion for narrative later found its way onto the page.
As a father, Michael began crafting bedtime adventures for his eldest daughter, Makenna. Those stories grew into The Chronicles of the Virago, a young adult fantasy series that has captured the hearts of readers with its blend of action, humor, and heartfelt themes of courage and friendship. The series has been recognized with honors such as a Kirkus Blue Star review and finalist placement in the Dante Rossetti Book Awards (CIBA).
When he’s not in his creative world of talking worms, heroic teens, and fantastical mentors, Michael is known professionally as “The DUI Man,” a dedicated California defense attorney with a reputation for fighting for justice and guiding clients through difficult times. His diverse background in law, music, and storytelling informs his writing—rich with imagination, empathy, and resilience.
Michael lives in Southern California, where he continues to compose music, dream up new adventures, and, most importantly, tell stories that inspire.
